Mawsons provide an exciting opportunity for young regional people to complete a 10-month Cadetship program commencing in late January. Mawsons’ aim is to secure young talent into our workforce and provide development opportunities and experience to the young people in the communities in which we work.

The scheme offers up to three successful 18-25-year-old candidates a 10-month fixed-term contract of employment, after which the objective is for each successful Cadet to potentially secure a suitable permanent, ongoing role with Mawsons, dependent on their skills, preferences, desired location, and the business needs at that time.

Each Cadet will move through four of our operational divisions: Concrete, Quarries, Workshops (Fabrication and Mechanical) and Technical. Position descriptions outline the cadet’s duties and scope of work for each division.

We seek cadets who are confident, enthusiastic and enjoy meeting new teams and learning new skills. Whilst we try to place cadets in work sites that are nearest to their residential location, there are periods of the program where cadets may be required to work away from home for the week. Mawsons cover accommodation and travel expenses as required.

Each Cadet will be assigned a workplace mentor for the duration of the program to provide guidance and support.

Cadets will receive a competitive wage while gaining valuable industry and workplace knowledge from our friendly and professional Mawsons teams.
